Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Prevention Policy

The Editorial Board of the journal “Personality and Environmental Issues” adheres to the principles of academic integrity and does not tolerate plagiarism in any form.

Plagiarism is understood as the appropriation of authorship, use of others’ ideas, texts, or research results without proper attribution, as well as self-plagiarism (reuse of previously published work without appropriate citation).

Screening Procedure

All submitted manuscripts undergo mandatory plagiarism screening using specialized software, including StrikePlagiarism, Unicheck, or similar tools.

The editorial team evaluates not only the similarity index but also the nature, sources, and appropriateness of citations.

Evaluation Criteria

Acceptable similarity levels are determined by the editorial board in accordance with international standards and should not exceed established thresholds, except for properly cited quotations, references, and commonly used terminology.

Actions in Case of Violations

In cases where plagiarism is detected:

  • the manuscript may be returned to the author for revision;
  • the manuscript may be rejected without further review;
  • if violations are identified after publication, the article may be retracted in accordance with the journal’s retraction policy.

The editorial board reserves the right to inform the authors’ affiliated institutions in cases of serious violations of academic integrity.

Author Responsibilities

Authors bear full responsibility for the originality of submitted materials, the accuracy of data, and proper citation of sources.
