Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • Rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The content of manuscripts should correspond to the scientific direction of the journal and be presented in English in a clear and concise form. Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements of the presentation in English will be automatically rejected without review.

The magazine accepts articles in such areas as:

- Ecology

- Environmental protection

- Environmental technologies

- Ecological safety

- Regional ecological problems

- Ecological psychology

- Ecological education

The authors are fully responsible for the content of their published materials.

Note for Ukrainian authors. The Ukrainian version of the manuscript must be submitted to the editorial board, and for persons-representatives of extraneous higher educational institutions (scientific institutions) the act of examination (original).

After reviewing the manuscript and its acceptance by the editor, the generated article (as a PDF file) is sent to the authors for correction. The corrected draft article must be returned to the editors no later than 5 days after receipt. Otherwise, the editors may abandon the article or postpone its publication.

Technical requirements

Manuscripts must be submitted to Microsoft Word 97 or Word 2000 text editors and sent to the editor by e-mail. A4 sheet format (210x297 mm) with the following margins: 18 mm on the left, 25 mm on the right, 20 mm on the top, 27 mm from below. Font - Times New Roman, size 10.5, spacing 1.1. Figures and tables in the text should be sent as separate files, if their formats differ from the Word-format. The total amount of the article should be at least 6 pages.

Mandatory distinction of hyphenation (–) and hyphen (-), the use of quotation marks of this format – «» («text»).

Scientific articles should include: UDC (printed at the top left in regular font); after 1 space in the middle, the author's name and surname are printed in bold italics; in the following lines the usual font indicates: the educational institution or scientific institution where the author works; scientific degree and academic title, country (in parentheses); e-mail address; ORCID number (http://orcid.org/). All information is given in the nominative case. After 1 space in the center - the title of the article in bold; in 2 intervals symmetrically to the text in ordinary italics - annotation (not less than 1800 characters) and keywords (4-7 words in alphabetical order); then at 2 intervals - the main text (in the text of the article structural elements must be highlighted in bold); at the end of the article at 2 intervals symmetrically to the text title «References:», the list is formed in a column, in alphabetical order (reference to each item in the list is required; it is desirable to link to journal articles, articles by foreign authors and articles having a DOI index); The abstract is submitted in accordance with the requirements of scientometric databases as a structured abstract, containing the following selected elements: purpose of work, methodology, scientific novelty, conclusions. Materials with a low level of English translation will not be considered.

References should be numbered, given in the text in square brackets. The list of references contains the titles of books without references to their individual components. Magazines and books published in Ukrainian or Russian must be given in Latin letters without translation into English.

Illustrations (drawings, graphics and photographs) must be given in the text or in separate graphic files suitable for corrections or changes, the dimensions correspond to the parameters of the page, be numbered (if more than one) and have a name under the figure (not on the figure itself) , in the center (name size 9.5). Photographs and photocopies must be of high quality, sufficient for copying.

Tables must be prepared in Excel or MS Word. And placed in accordance with the order of appearance of links to them in the text. The main sizes of styles 10. The name is in the center of the table (in bold); the size of the headings of table 10.5.

Formulas are placed inside the text and numbered in parentheses on the right.

Units. Follow internationally recognized rules and conventions: use the International System of Units (SI). If other notations are used, please give their equivalent in SI.

According to the new rules, which take into account the requirements of international citation systems, authors of articles must submit a list of references in two versions: one - in the original language, and a separate block of the same list of references in the Romance alphabet (harvard reference system), in the same order, all positions of literature, regardless of whether they are foreign.

Most of the sources should reflect the current state of scientific research (last 5 years). No more than 20% of self-references to each of the co-authors are allowed. The article must contain references to foreign sources (at least 20%).

The manuscript should contain the following sections: title page, annotation, keywords (up to 4 - 7), introduction, theoretical foundations of the study, experimental part, results and their discussion, conclusions, prospects for further research, references. Abbreviations and symbols should be explained after the first mention. The article may include a list of abbreviations. The introduction should be short and clear and should include appropriate references. All materials and methods by which the results were obtained should be described in the experimental or theoretical part of the main text. Subdivisions must be numbered 2.1. (respectively 2.1.1., 2.1.2 ...), 2.2, etc. The results must be presented clearly and accurately. The discussion should interpret the results based on the data obtained. Subheadings can also be used to format a discussion. Avoid large citations and discussion of literature data. Conclusions should emphasize the main achievements of the work, emphasize its importance and give examples of their possible application.
