AUTHENTICITY OF TRADITIONS IN THE CONTEMPORARY ART SPACE OF UKRAINE.

Abstract

The article examines the current issue of preserving the authenticity of Ukrainian cultural traditions in the context of the modern artistic space, characterized by the challenges of globalization, rapid technological development, and profound sociocultural transformations. It explores the important role of young artists in these processes and their potential in creatively combining historical heritage and contemporary artistic practices to enrich and develop national art. The significance of authenticity and traditional cultural origins is conceptualized and reinterpreted as a foundation for creating unique innovations in the modern world, and their function in establishing the cultural identity of contemporary society is clarified. The role of future artists in popularizing and regenerating traditional art is outlined. The article analyzes specific examples of creative reinterpretation of traditional cultural roots in various art forms, including traditional crafts, modern design, book graphics, and other forms of artistic creativity. Special attention is paid to studying the role of education and active involvement of art students in practical activities, which is a key mechanism for ensuring generational continuity in preserving cultural heritage. Successful examples of integrating traditional crafts into contemporary art are examined, such as the revival of carpet making, block printing, and paper cutting. The use of traditional folk symbols in modern book graphics and illustration is analyzed. Contemporary trends in using traditional elements in interior design and product design are explored. Special attention is devoted to the use of ethnic symbolism in modern graphic and printing solutions. The generalized research results show that preserving the authenticity of traditions is an important task for modern society, especially in the context of globalization and sociopolitical challenges. The article emphasizes that the combination of scientific research, artistic practice, and active youth initiative is key to successfully preserving and renewing Ukrainian cultural heritage, ensuring its relevance for future generations..
