The article raises the issue of moral education of primary school-age children in the context of the digitalization of modern education. The scholarly positions of researchers on the outlined issue are analyzed in the context of the ideas of classical pedagogues and contemporary approaches. The content and tasks of the moral education of modern pupils are revealed, with emphasis placed on the formation of moral values in primary school pupils. It is noted that primary school age is a sensitive period for the formation of moral notions, the cultivation of moral feelings, and the development of experience of moral behaviour. It is emphasized that the success of the process of moral education of primary school pupils depends on the teacher's consideration of pupils' age characteristics, their individual experience, their subjective readiness for self-improvement, and a reasonable combination of traditional and innovative forms of extracurricular educational work. The methodological aspects of organizing and conducting certain forms of moral education of primary school pupils are revealed. In particular, the possibilities of the quest as an interactive form of extracurricular work with pupils are presented, and examples of topics for quest games are provided; the methodology for conducting an oral journal with a moral focus is outlined. Special emphasis is placed on the moral and ethical conversation as an important form of developing universal human values in pupils; examples of topics for conversations with primary school-age children are provided. The main forms of pupils' moral education are outlined. The need to maintain a balance in the use of digital tools and analogue forms of moral education, which involve interaction with peers, significant adults, and nature, is demonstrated.References
