Abstract

Publication of archival materials — autobiographical sketches of Nastia Adrianivna Prysyazhnyuk (1894–1987), a prominent Ukrainian folklorist and ethnographer. The text describes in detail the life of the family in the town of Pohrebyshche at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries: lawsuits for land, family conflicts, the daily life of a large family, children's education, as well as the socio-economic living conditions of the peasantry and intelligentsia of that time. The materials are presented preserving the author's original orthography.
