AI Usage Policy
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is governed by a set of regulatory and advisory documents. These include:
- the Law of Ukraine «On Copyright and Related Rights» (Article 33);
- the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act;
- UNESCO Recommendations;
- the White Paper on AI Regulation in Ukraine: the vision of the Ministry of Digital Transformation (consultation version, 2024);
- the Draft Instructional and Methodological Guidelines on the Introduction and Use of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in General Secondary Education Institutions (2024);
- Order No. 203 of 31 October 2025 of Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University, «Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Educational and Research Activities of Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University».
The journal «Actual Problems of Physical Education and Methods of Sports Training» allows a maximum level of AI tool usage in textual works of no more than 10–15%, interpreting this as an acceptable share of technical editing of the material. This threshold is justified by the technical capabilities of AI detection tools and by the need to ensure the predominance of the author’s original creative contribution, in accordance with the requirements of Article 33 of the Law of Ukraine «On Copyright and Related Rights».
Authors bear full responsibility for the content and originality of the manuscript. AI tools may not be listed as co-authors. Any use of AI must be explicitly disclosed in the manuscript. Violation of this policy constitutes grounds for rejection or retraction of the publication.
